"Organising and hosting a TransGender pageant brings me great excitement! why? because there is a need in the community to unite and give a positive vibe about who and what we are.
It's not just about who's the best and most aesthetically beautiful, it's about who's willing to display their character, stand proud of who they are and to prove that we are just as "normal" as everyone else. Of course some members of the transgendered community simply want to blend in with society and be seen nothing less than female, but whatever we do, no matter how much we alter ourselves, we will always be who we are and we should celebrate and be thankful that we have the opportunity to live life, possess the natural gift to give love and be loved in return.
Admittedly a beauty pageant is not the only way to celebrate but it's a start.
If we don't strive for social acceptance and unity, who will? Thank you to all the girls, their friends, their family and to all who supported Miss Gay and Miss TS International 2004 - 2008 and the new chapters of Miss TG Diamond" -
Dee Chanelle, Director.
